WCA AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM

Are you interested in having your child participate in a program that will help them to learn better study habits, good manners, leadership skills, as well as, enhance spiritual growth?

WCA Staff is offering an AFTER SCHOOL Program that will fill all these areas.

Our after-school crafts, activities, and games are biblically based and well supervised by caring, qualified staff.  The Program is geared to teach values while having fun.  We insure that homework will be done daily before outdoor activities are enjoyed and assistance (tutoring) will be available for all students.

Enrollment in the WCA after school program does not depend on enrollment in WCA, all area K-8 schools are included.*

Times Offered:     M-TH     3:00pm-5:30pm  $ 30.00

                                M-Friday  $60.00 week

                               Friday 12:00 – 5:30pm only = $30.00

                               HOURLY     $ 7.50

4:00 – 5:00 = Outdoor Play/Organized games

1:00 – 2:30 = Outdoor Play/Organized Games

2:30 – 3:00 = Water/Snack break

3:00 – 4:30 = In class activities/Movie Time

4:30 – 5:30 = Outdoor Play/Organized games

Week 1:  Brotherly Love (Friendships)

Activities:  Friend cutouts, study of Philadelphia; Liberty Bell, Constitution

                   Make a Friendship (encouragement card), Marble Painting

Week 2:  Agape Love (God’s love for us)

Activities:  Lambs, Cross, Praying hands, Re-enact the Passover

Week 3:  Love for our Family members

Activities:  Chick/Egg (represent our new life in Christ), Stained Glass Windows,

                   Concentration/Matching game, Pudding Painting

Week 4:  Serving one another in Love

Activities:  Washing one another’s feet, writing a poem (card), Making puzzles

                    (Family)  Word scrambles (timed event) Relay games that require working together

The little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them.  But the disciples rebuked those who brought them.  Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these”.

§          Kindergarten Readiness, All day childcare (ages 3-8^th grades), “Fun Fridays” for K-8^th graders, and our mini Summer camps.  Summer caps will consist of many different interest such as, Science, Reading circle, Computer skills, Spiritual Development, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Scrap booking, Sign Language, Puppetry, Gymnastics, Band lessons, Music, Song writing, Photography, Cheer, Math, Tap and many others will be offered.  Registration is due by June 1^st.  Class sizes are limited, please register early.  No refunds after June 15^th.  Please look for further information as summer approaches.  If you have any questions or need more information, please contact our main office at 684-5916 or 684-9046 and ask for Liz Martin.
