Graduation Requirements

 
     Graduates must obtain a minimum of 28 credit hours in order to receive a diploma with a minimum percentage achieved in each class of 70%.  Exceptions for transfer students must be sanctioned by the education board by way of an interview process scheduled prior to graduation.
 
Community Service     (20 hours per year required)*

Mathematics     (4 credits required)

*Why does Legacy teach Latin?  
Latin is the root of the English Language (as well as all Romantic languages), to understand Latin is to more fully comprehend English.  Full comprehension of English enables rhetoric (effective speaking or writing) to be honed and polished into an eloquent expression of the soul.
OMNIBUS     (12 credits required / 3 credits per year)
History, Literature, Theology, & Geography are combined into one three credit course.  Ancient literature is read, discussed, & filtered through Biblical precepts.  The topics are debated and then thoughts are put into Greek style writing assignments called, "progymnasmata" (preliminary exercises).  The combination of progymnasmata and Latin fulfills English requirements
Health & Physical Education     (1 credit minimum required)

  • Sports Track (2 seasons per credit)
  • Dance Track (2 season per credit)
  • Martial Arts Track (1 credit per year)
  • ATOMIK  Track (in class, by audition only)
  • Rodeo Track (1 credit per year)
Fine Arts     (1 credit minimum required)

  • ATOMIK Track (in class by audition only 1 credit per year)
  • Visual Arts Track (1 credit for every 160 hours)
  • Music Track (1 credit for every 160 hours)
  • Vocal Track (1 credit for every 160 hours)
  • Theater Technical Track (1 credit for every 160 hours)
  • Drama Track (1 credit for every 160 hours)
Elective Tracks     (1 credit minimum required)

  • ATOMIK Track (in class by audition only 1 credit per year)
  • Visual Arts (1 credit for every 160 hours)
  • Music (1 credit for every 160 hours)
  • Vocals (1 credit for every 160 hours)

  • Sports (2 seasons per credit)
  • Dance (2 season per credit)

  • Missions (Every 2 weeks in full time missions is a ½ credit)
