In basketball terms, WCA's approach to education might be seen as a “triple threat.” Academics represent one element and the other two are interpersonal/social skills and spiritual development. While our program is designed to nurture the God-given gifts of every student, individuals progress at different rates. The reality is that not every child will mature into a great athlete, scholar, theologian, or orator. However, in the process of learning to appreciate excellence in a variety of subjects, students discover and develop their God-given gifts.
Here are 3 easy ways you can help WCA students be more “successful”:
1. Provide valuable input on the upcoming Parent Survey. As in past years, your candid and constructive feedback is used to make programming decisions for the coming year. Also feel free to stop by the office to chat.
2. Join us for the annual Parent Meeting on Tuesday, February 16 to learn about plans for next year, scholarships and ways you can plug in. A Q&A session will provide time for discussion, followed by rootbeer floats for all.
3. Reenroll. Applications for 16-17 will be available Feb 16th. Demonstrate your commitment to Christian Education by completing the reenrollment process early. (“early-bird discount” available through Feb 29). The Board is already making decisions about next year, and many of them depend on the number of students enrolled in each grade. The preliminary budget needs to be solidified by the end of March and teacher contracts go out in mid-April.
May you sense the Lord’s blessing upon you as you walk in His light!
