WCA School Board
Wickenburg Christian Academy, Inc., a non-profit Corporation, and its Board of Directors are solely responsible for operating and governing WCA. The board is comprised of Christian men and women who are committed to the total education of children through a Bible-oriented curriculum.

Ed Kientz, CEO of Benner-Nawman, Inc., a passionate part of several local boards and organizations, and a board member for WCA since 2009.
Charilyn Kientz, president of Wickenburg Children’s Cultural Organization and WCA board member since 2009.

Tadd Nixon, a local business owner, proud father to a daughter currently at WCA and two sons graduated from WCA, and a WCA board member since 2011.

Art Pulis , a highly-qualified businessman and consultant; recently completed two terms as a director of the Del Webb Center for the Performing Arts board.

Shawn Clark brings a wealth of experience to the Board as a project/operations manager in the tech industry. He and his wife, Kathy, moved to the Wickenburg area in 2013, and are members of Assembly of God Church in Yarnell. The Clarks have two children at WCA.

Greg Caniglia received his Business Degree from California State Polytechnic University Pomona. He owned a small fire sprinkler company in the late 80’s, and ultimately bought into and became president of XL Fire Protection. Greg and his wife Holly are active members of The Place church and have two daughters who attended Wickenburg Christian Academy. Mr. Caniglia has served on the WCA Board since 2018.

Alan Abare joined the WCA Board at the beginning of the 2016-17 school year. He is the Branch Manager of National Bank of Arizona in Wickenburg and has previous experience as chair of a school board in Vermont.

Ed Truxal is a local businessman returning to the WCA board in 2019 after a year hiatus. He brings many years of experience in the workplace and volunteering in various sports and youth organizations. He lives in Wickenburg with his wife, Kris, and daughter, Joelle, currently a junior at WCA. His oldest, son Stephen, is a WCA alum, class of 2017.

Pastor Greg Hintz is new to the WCA for the 2019-20 school year. He has been in ministry since 1998 and has been Lead Pastor of The Place church since its inception in 2009. He has served as a Children's Ministry Pastor, Youth and Family Ministry Director and Head Church Administrator during his twenty plus years in ministry, and has also led missions teams to Brazil, Mexico, Jamaica and Kenya. An effective communicator of God’s Word, Pastor Greg is known for his practical and dynamic teaching style which helps people apply the timeless truths of scripture to their everyday lives. Pastor Greg is native to Ohio but has resided in Wickenburg since 2006. He and his wife, Tara, have been married since 1999. They are the proud parents of four children: Dylan, Zion, Xander and Juliana.
