Scholarships and Financial Assistance
WCA families receive over $400,000+ through the Tax Credit program on average each year! It is the desire of Wickenburg Christian Academy that no student should be denied the opportunity to attend WCA because of a lack of financial resources.
To this end, WCA has a tuition assistance program to help those who cannot meet the full cost of tuition on their own. A financial aid team reviews the requests for assistance on the basis of need. Those who request such assistance are asked to follow the steps listed below. Parents are also expected to participate in the AZ Private School Tuition Tax Credit Program in order to assist them with their tuition obligation. The greatest source of financial aid comes from this program.
Eligibility for tuition assistance is reviewed annually and will include the following considerations:
· Availability of funding
· Financial need based on current financial need analysis
· Christian conduct
· Faithfulness with academics and school attendance
· Adherence to school policies as outlined in the Student Handbook
· Volunteer commitment (parent or family member)
· Assistance from Arizona Tuition Tax Credit program (such as APESF or ACSTO).

- Please note:
- Awards are based on recommendations and/or student merit, not necessarily financial need.
- Donor recommendation of a student does not guarantee award.
- The best way to make sure your student receives awards from these organizations is to distribute donor flyers to your AZ friends, family, and coworkers, and ask them to give. It is a dollar-for-dollar tax credit to AZ taxpayers – donors are redirecting money to WCA that they are already paying to the state.
- There are 2 parts to the tax credit program: “Original” and “Overflow/PLUS”. Overflow/PLUS funds are available for incoming Kindergarteners, Military Dependents, and students transferring from public to private schools; or those who have previously received corporate scholarships and remain at private school in subsequent years
